TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Site Equipment offer a range of proprietary Trench Sheets. The above table gives detailed specifications which will enable designers to specify the correct trench sheets for any given temporary works scheme.The persmissible working stress is based on a factor of safety of 1.5 applied to the minimum yield stress and is used to calculate the maxmium bending moment assuming elastic design methods.

Note: for permanent works applications a higher factor of safety must be applied to the material’s minimum yield stress.

Lengths available – KD6/8mm (3mtr to 8mtr)

SEI INTERLOCKING PILES

Site Equipment have increased their already comprehensive range of trench sheeting products with the introduction of their SEI Interlocking Light Pile.

The profile has been specifically designed by Site Equipment engineers for the hire market soas to meet customer’s requirements for a strong, lightweight yet durable product. The SEI is ideally suited for use in poor ground conditions where groundwater exclusion is desirable. The strength properties of the SEI light pile make it ideal for pre-driving with excavator mounted vibratory hammers and smaller impact hammers.

The high bending strength will additionally minimise any bracing frame requirements within a cofferdam.

The picture opposite shows our SEI Interlocking Piles being used to damn a river, to enable new site access for a major housing development.

We stock these interlocking piles in 5mtr and 6mtr, and are available for hire or sale from Site Equipment’s network of hire centres.
